Chrome plating steel, brass or copper.
G & R Chroming & Restoration use the copper bath as the 1st procedure for chrome plating steel. Steel parts remain for 5 hours in an acid copper bath. During this time a 250 µm layer will be formed (0, 25 mm).
The various steps are:
1. Dechrome
3. Nickel layer 15µm
We can deal with parts up to 2,2m long. All our work is done by hand. The fact that each of our step is utterly checked and readjusted whenever needed, (i.e. extra time in the shiny nickel bath or removal of the impurities), makes us achieve an extremely beautiful shine with the chrome which you will enjoy for many years to come.
